HMS-CSSA and Longwood-Cambridge Technology Entrepreneurs (LOCATE) are pleased to invite you to a career social event on Saturday June 18th, 2011. We will host a panel discussion with Dr. Junbin Hu, CEO of Xingyue Biomedicine Inc. and Chief Executive Director of Xingyue Plan, about entrepreneurship opportunities with Chinese non-state owned enterprises in China, and in particular, Xingyue Group.

One of the best developed and most active regions for non-state owned enterprises, Zhejiang Province has seen the fastest growth in private capital accumulation in China. Recently, the leading non-state owned enterprises in Zhejiang have started shifting their investment focus from material resources to human capital and technologies. Among these, Xingyue Group is taking the lead with their visionary "Xingyue Plan" （click the attachment to read more) in collaboration with the China-America Biomedicine Development Association (CABDA), an organization seeking to foster dialogues between professionals and entities in academia and industry in China and the U.S. Xingyue Plan, when fully executed, will invest up to 1 billion RMB in high technology projects. Projects in biotechnology and biomedicine receive top priority. This plan explores and aims to implement a new career model for high technology returnees through an unforeseen structure in which a Chinese non-state owned enterprise provides support with a wide range of resources and partners with the returnees for technology-based entrepreneurship.

The panel discussion will start off with the brief introduction of LOCATE and its mission, followed by Dr. Junbin Hu's talk on entrepreneurship opportunities in China and the Xingyue Plan. After Q & A, there will be time for mingling. If you are interested in technology entrepreneurship, this event is a perfect opportunity to help you realize your dream with the help from Xingyue in bringing together the needed resources to support your start-up.
