Opening ceremony for Longwood Scientific Salon (LSS) on August 31, 2010

Dear all,
Chinese Scholars & Scientists Association at Harvard Medical School (
HMS-CSSA) is launching a
new program, named "Longwood Scientific Salon" (LSS). The aim of LSS
is to promote scientific
communication and collaboration among more than 2,000 Chinese scientists
in Harvard Medical
School and affiliated institutions.
You are cordially invited to attend the opening ceremony for Longwood Scientific Salon (LSS), which
will be held on
August 31, 2010 (Tuesday), 5:00-6:30 pm, at room 308-309,
Smith Building,
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute . The meeting includes three half-hour sections (please also see the
attached file for detailed meeting Agenda). In the first section, Dr. X
i He from Harvard Medical
School and Dr. Xiaole (Shirley) Liu from Harvard School of Public Health
will give a brief speech.
Both prestigious speakers will share some valuable experience with the audience. The second
section will provide opportunities for social interactions among audience
and speakers. Pizza and
drinks will be provided. In the last section, discussion will be held within each subgroup. The on-
site registration service will be provided as well if you want to join the LSS.
