Dear LSS members,
LSS cancer/stem cell group will have a discussion about the stem cell
biology seminar which will be held next Monday afternoon(sep 27) in new
research building of harvard medical school. The seminar will start at 2pm
and we can gather at the cafeteria of the new research building at 5pm (if
the seminar is done by then) and have one hour discussion about the
seminar. If you can not attend the whole seminar since it is on Monday,
you are still welcome to attend our discussion to share some thoughts and
related information.

Call for Nominations for the 2011 Prize
The Warren Alpert Foundation's Scientific Advisory Board, comprising
internationally renowned biomedical scientists and chaired by Dean Jeffrey
S. Flier, is requesting nominations for the 2011 Warren Alpert Foundation
Prize. Nominations should be made for scientific achievements that have
led to the prevention, cure or treatment of human disorders or for
research results that constitute a seminal scientific finding that holds
great promise of ultimately changing our ability to treat disease. Visit
