LSS Neuroscience group presents "How mitochondria move and why a neurobiologist cares" (5/17/2011)

Dear All,

Neuroscience subgroup of Longwood Scientific Salon (LSS) will have a group discussion on "How mitochondria move and why a neurobiologist cares". The invited speaker is Dr. Xinnan Wang from Schwarz's laboratory in Children's Hospital Boston. Dr. Wang obtained her PhD in University of Cambridge in UK and now is a postdoctoral fellow in Children's Hospital. She has a very impressive CV, publishing first-author papers in Cell and Nature Neuroscience as well as holding NIH K99 award. She has also gone through a lot of job interviews recently. Therefore, the talk will provide us a good opportunity to learn more about her experiences in both scientific research and career development. Please see the following for the event summary:
