Dear All,
Neuroscience subgroup of Longwood Scientific Salon (LSS) will have a group
discussion on "Synaptic plasticity and Alzheimer's disease". The invited
speaker is Dr. Shaomin Li from Dennis Selkoe's laboratory in Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Li obtained his PhD in Dublin University in Ireland
and now is an instructor in Brigham and Women's Hospital. He got a solid
training in electrophysiology of synaptic plasticity, learning & memory,
and neurodegenerative disease. Dr. Li has published more than 20 research
articles, including first-author papers in Nature Neuroscience, Neuron and
Current Biology. He will mainly talk about how beta-amyloid affects
synaptic plasticity and neuronal function in Alzheimer's disease. Please see the following for the event
