Summer barbecue on the coming Saturday, July 23, 2011 (7/20/2011)

Dear All,

HMS-CSSA invites you to join our summer barbecue on the coming Saturday, July 23rd, 2011. Let us leave our work behind us for one day. It is time to enjoy nice food and fresh air by the lake and get to know more fellow Chinese scholars.

Pre-registration and pick up arrangement: - Please RSVP by 1pm of July 22nd by emailing to: cssa@hms-cssa.org or chaoshe.guo@childrens.harvard.edu (please notify in your email if you need a ride)

Since we only have limited cars for picking-up, we strongly encourage you to drive by yourself or find friends who have cars. For members who have cars, please drive other people along with you if you could. For members who need pickup, please email us in advance and go to the intersection of longwood avenue and avenue louis pasteur (the big cycle in front of Harvard medical school) on Saturday morning. We will arrange the picking up between 9 to 9:30am. (if you can help us to pick up people on that day, please let us know)



When: Saturday, July 23, 2010 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Where: Cochituate State Park, 93 Commonwealth Rd. wayland, MA 01778

The event will start at 10:00am on Saturday, July 23rd. Please make sure to arrive on time since this park is a very popular weekend destination and the parking is very limited. The park WILL BE CLOSED once the parking lot is full, so please BE ON TIME if you signed up for the BBQ.

Activities:

- Barbecue, biking, swimming, beach, soccer, volleyball, kids games

- Discussion with the friends from the different fields of research

Tickets:

Members & Family & Friends: $5 / adult, free for kids. Onsite membership registration will be available. Payment is due on site. CASH ONLY.

From East or West: Massachusetts Turnpike (Rte. I-90) to exit 13, Rte. 30 east. Park is on the right. From Mass Pike: Take the Mass Turnpike (Rt. I-90) to Exit 13 to Rt. 30 East. The park is ½ mile down on the right.

From Route 9: Follow Route 9 East or West to the Speen Street exit in Framingham. Go North on Speen Street. Follow Speen Street for 1 mile until you come to Route 30. Turn right onto Route 30. Park is 200 yards down on the right hand side.

Items You May Want to Bring:

For sun: Sunscreen/Sunglasses/hat ( it is going to be pretty hot on that day) For fun: Toys for kids, fishing rods and bait? Bikes, swimming suits, bikes, soccer balls, etc. For a memory about a beautiful summer filled with smiley faces: Camera

You may not bring alcohol & your pets for safety reason.
