Westlake Institute for Advanced Study (WIAS, soon to be Westlake University) is a private, comprehensive research institute located in the beautiful city of Hangzhou, China. WIAS has four research institutes: Natural Sciences (covering math, physics, chemistry, astronomy, and geosciences), Advanced Technology (covering all branches of engineering), Biology (covering all branches of modern experimental biology and computational biology), Basic Medical Sciences (covering all branches of medical sciences).
