Longwood scientific salon by Dr. Dong Kong on Dec 6

Dear HMS-CSSA members,

Dr. Dong Kong will give a seminar in the Longwood Scientific Salon ( LSS) about “Genetic Dissection of Neural Circuits Controlling Metabolism” on Dec. 6th, Thur sday 5:30- 6:30pm at Room 304, Smith building, Dana-Farber cancer institute.

Dr. Kong obtained his Ph.D. from Nanjing University, and now an instructor in medicine at BIDMC and HMS. He also serves as the co-director of Transgenic and Gene knock out Core at Boston Nutrition Obesity Research Center (BNORC) and Boston Area Diabetes Endocr inology Research Center (BADERC).

Dr. Kong has achieved remarkably in his field. He is one of the leading e xperts on making transgenic and knock out mice. He had published many papers including a recent one in Cell. He has also been awarded for many grants and fellowships.
