2013 Harvard Chinese Life Science Annual Distinguished Research Award announcement

Dear HMS-CSSA members,

We are pleased to announce that Harvard Medical School- Chinese Scholars & Scientists Association (HMS-CSSA) has selected twelve young investigators for 2013 Harvard Chinese Life Science Annual Distinguished Research Award.

The awardees are:

  • Chuan Wu (Brigham and Women’s Hospital)
  • Dong Kong (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center)
  • Yufei Xu (Brigham and Women’s Hospital)
  • Xiaodong Jiang (Harvard Medical School)
  • Jixi Li (Children’s Hospital)
  • Xiaoyun Liao (Dana-Farber Institute)
  • Xu Tan(Brigham and Women’s Hospital)
  • Xinjun Zhang (Children’s Hospital)
  • Zeyu Xiao(Brigham and Women’s Hospital)
  • Jing Wang (Brigham and Women’s Hospital)
  • Wenxian Fu (Harvard Medical School)

The award aims to promote scientific research in Chinese community in Harvard Medical School. The nominating committee is comprised of faculties of Harvard Medical School and advisory board members of HMS-CSSA. The criteria of the selection are based on the scientific merits of their research published in year 2012. Six awardees of 2013 Harvard Chinese Life Science Annual Distinguished Research Award are expected to deliver a twenty-minute lecture at Harvard Chinese Life Science Annual Research Symposium on April 13-14, 2013. A short ceremony for issuing winners award certificates will be followed.
