2018-2019 HMS-CSSA Members

在2018年7月19日举行的年度换届会议上，哈佛医学院华人专家学者联合会（HMS-CSSA）选出了2018-2019届执行委员会，会议同时选举岳宏为会长，周一鸣为共同会长，彭竞宇为秘书长。随后新一届执委会召开了第一次全体成员会议，并与部分卸任执委会成员合影留念。

We are very pleased to announce the new leadership of Harvard Medical School Chinese Scientists and Scholars Association (HMS-CSSA) members for the 2018-2019 term. Dr. Hong Yue was elected as President, Dr. Yiming Zhou was elected as Co-President and Dr. Jingyu Peng was elected as Secretary General.

As a volunteer-based, non-profit, non-political organization, HMS-CSSA has been focusing on providing a platform for networking, collaboration, and career development among Chinese researchers at Harvard Medical School and its affiliated hospitals and institutes, hence serving as a bridge for scientific communication between China and US.

In the past year, we have organized more than 40 events including Chinese Life Science Annual Conference, Dean’s Forum, Scientific Symposiums, and various social events. Currently, our official Wechat account has more than 4,700 followers. As our biggest event, 2018 Harvard Medical School Chinese Life Science Annual Conference has invited 10 outstanding professors to present their recent most exciting works to our community. The conference has attracted more than 700 students, young scientists, and faculties to participate and communicate. Overall, More than three thousand audiences, including over 30 Harvard and MIT faculties, have attended our events. Our events have been reported by more than 7 social media. We helped organize more than 15 job recruitment events for many prestigious Chinese universities and institutes, which facilitated many young Chinese scientists to find academic positions in China. We also successfully organized a young scientist delegation and visited several of these institutes in China. 

We sincerely thank Dr. Song Yang, Dr. Qiong Ye and all the past members for their dedication and contribution to HMS-CSSA organization. We also thank our advisors and all the Chinese scientists who gave the tremendous support and help to HMS-CSSA. With new members on board from this month, HMS-CSSA will continue to serve the Chinese research community at Harvard Medical School and organize more events in the coming year. Please continue supporting HMS-CSSA and make our community better!
