The dean of life science college of XIAN JiaoTong University: Professor Jiankang Liu and Professor Junwu Zhao are going to visit Harvard medical school and MIT next week. They are going to give a talk at HMS about the programs in their university and all the opening positions in life science college.

The title of the talk is: To go back or not, this is a question.
Time: Dec. 8th, thursday, 5pm-7pm
Location: room 1620, dana building, dana-farbar cancer institute, 44 binney street, boston, 02215
(pizza and drink will be provided).
There will be discussion with professor Liu and professor Zhao after the talk and please bring your C.V. to the talk if you are interested in these positions. You can also email your C.V. to cssa@hms- cssa.org in advance.

西安交通大学生命学院诚聘Harvard and MIT高层次人才

西安交大生命学院成立于2000年末，设有生物医学工程和生物学两个一级学科。生物医学工程学科创建于1978年，是国内第一批成立该专业的学校，是国家级重点学科，并以此为依托建立了现代医学电子技术及仪器国家专业实验室、生物医学信息工程教育部重点实验室等科研基地，经过多年建设，已经形成了医学信息及仪器、生物医学超声、计算生物信息学及其应用、心脏起搏与电生理等优势学科方向，并向生命科学核心领域深度交叉。生物学学科有线粒体生物医学、分子肿瘤学、分子遗传学、生物化学与分子生物学、生物物理学等主要学科方向，其中线粒体生物医学方向是学校十二.五拟建国际一流的学科方向。

为迅速提升学院的办学水平和层次，经学校批准生命学院与校前沿科学技术研究院不久前联合成立了“前沿生命科学研究所”，这一体制上的改革举措，将使我院在学校特区的环境下，快速凝聚一批生命学院急需的高层次人才，实现主要学科的跨越式发展。
