HMS-CSSA alumni professional social networking group at LinkedIn
Below is the detail information for linkedin professional social group launched by HMS-CSSA. Please join us to help everyone’s career development.
We have held various activities including research seminars and career path seminars to facilitate the interactive communications among our members. In addition to these events for on-site communications, we plan to establish an online networking group based Lin kedIn.com platform to further promote long-term, dynamic information exchange among HMS-CSSA community, no matter where you are. In addition, there are more and more scholars are coming and leaving among thousands of Chinese research scholars in the Harvard Medical School. We are hoping to keep all HMS-CSSA alumni in touch through this platform, and to further facilitate our alumni’s interactions, anywhere. Please read the following for further details.
This HMS-CSSA alumni group in LinkedIn is aiming at
– promoting academic exchange, career development, potential collaboration, social networking among HMS-CSSA alumnus as long as you have been affiliated with Harvard;
– keeping members in the HMS-CSSA network even after leave Harvard;
– sharing all recent activities of HMS-CSSA community, and you will receive the event information of CSSA automatically through emails if you choose to do so in LinkedIn settings;
– sharing career stories, job information;
– motivating all members to build up a vibrant professional HMS-CSSA community all together;
This would be a professional group and there are some tentative rules of conduct at this beginning stage:
– A Harvard affiliation is required to become a HMS-CSSA member;
– The discussions are for activities, academic, career, potential collaboration or other professional activates only;
– Prohibited for illegal, politic topics;
– Your updating LinkedIn profile of research backgrounds, professional experiences may help you link with an alumni with common interests.
To help with technical registration procedures for being a member of HMS-CSSA LinkedIn group:

– At least one Harvard affiliated experience need to be in your professional profile (a Harvard email might be required to identify the affiliation if applicable);
– You may update your personal profile (like a C.V.) including your other working experience or affiliations, which may help yourself/others to match research/profession al interest among the group;
– Start your exciting professional discussion/information sharing among the group members;
– This is currently a closed group; all discussions are only shared among group members;
– HMS-CSSA is not keeping any of your personal information and this information-sharing is facilitated by the LinkedIn networking platform. You may choose to leave/ unsubscribe any time through LinkedIn;
